Tuerkas the White Cat

A game for the ZX Spectrum 48k by Retrobensoft

The city's main factory has suffered an environmental incident and a biohazard has occurred. It has impacted the river and, although it has been decontaminated in time, some unhealthy fish has been put on sale at the city market.

Tuerkas, the white cat, is encouraged to find the 8 fish with the highest levels of contamination.

You must be careful with wasps, owls, snakes, rats and dogs. Other cats are somewhat jealous and ain't gonna make things easy.

Beware of the traps and obstacles on your way. Switches all over the place will help you to avoid some of them.


Powerups

Fish bones = Ammunition
Hearts = Restore energy
Springs = High jump


Controls (keyboard, sinclair joystick, kempston joystick)

LEFT - Walk left
RIGHT - Walk right
UP - Jump
DOWN -Crouch down
FIRE- Shot fish bones


Default keys

O - Left
P- Right
Q - Up
A - Down
SPC - Fire
H - Pause
Y - Quit


Tips

If you press DOWN at a platform border, Tuerkas will keep crouched down even if you don't press down any more
If you press UP when Tuerkas is chrouched down at a platform border, he will execute a special jump
If you press LEFT when Tuerkas is chrouched down and looking left at a platform border, he will fall down. The same, the other way round.
If you press RIGHT when Tuerkas is chrouched down and looking left at a platform border, he will walk right. The same, the other way round.

Tuerkas isn't an easy game. Don't give up!
