Tank Battle HOW TO PLAY Tank Battle is a simple game of survival. Enemy tanks roam the (almost) fully destructable environments and shoot at your tank and your arm. You lose life whenever enemy bullet hits you. You have to restart a level whenever your arm is damaged. To beat the game, you have to destory all enemy tanks at each of 16 levels. Once you completed a level, please make a note of the password that would enable you to restart the game from this level. CONTROLS Keyboard controls: O - Left P - Right Q - Up A - Down M - Fire The game can also be controlled using either the Kempston, the Cursor, or the Sinclair joystick. CHEAT The game has a cheat mode, which can be enabled during the title music by holding key "C" and pressing the space. CREDITS "Tank Battle" was inspired by the "Battle City" for NES, (c)1985 Namco. The title screen is based on a fragment of the cabinet design for the arcade game "Tank Battalion", (c)1980 Namco. All code, sprite and tile graphics are (c)1995, 1997 Aleksey Pichugin. Graphics for the intro and outro sequences, as well as the original music are (c)1995 Alexander Chervyakov. The game was originally developed on 48k ZX Spectrum clone "Delta-S" and later modified on 256k ZX Spectrum clone "Scorpion ZS 256". The following software was used during the development: * assemblers: "Zeus" (c)1983 Crystal Computing and "ZX Assembler 3.0" (c)1997 O. Hohlov; * graphics editor: "The Art Studio" (c)1985 Rainbird Software Ltd; * music editor: "The Music Box" (c)1986 Melbourne House; * various custom-made in-house utilities. A tape version of the game was finished in 1995 and converted to disc with minor improvements in 1997 but never released. This release features new English translation, fixed Kempston joystick and a newly prepared title screen. The game data is packed by the "ZX7" compressor (c)2013 Einar Saukas. zxintrospec@gmail.com
